On September 19, 2014 at the Institute of Public Health was held TrainMiC, first workshop in the Republic of Macedonia. Attended by 45 participants from regional Centers of public health, Bureau of Meterology of the Republic of Macedonia and the Faculty of Agriculture and Food. The topics: validation of methods, control diagrams and use of reference materials were presented by sci Dr. Zorica Arsova Sarafinovska, m-r sci Anita Najdenkoski and m-r Frosina Babanovska.

Program TrainMiC (Training in Metrology in Chemistry) was established in 2001 by the European Commission in order to meet the challenges associated with the measurements used in chemistry. TrainMiC is a program for training of laboratory profiles, quality managers, accreditation bureau, Bureau of Metrology, institutes, and most certainly, the final users of the results (customers). The program works at European and national level.

At the European level, acts the Committee, based in IRMM (Institute for Reference Materials and Measurement) which is the Metrology Institute of the European Commission. The mission of the IRMM is to promote a common measurement system. Nationwide acting national team trained TrainMiC council. The participants were given the certificates by the European Commission ,signed by Philip Taylor, leader of TrainMiC program.
